Birdwatching walk at Newtown

Take a short guided walk around the creeks, woods and meadows of Newtown to discover the visiting winter birds, as well as those that stay all year round. If you’ve never tried birdwatching before, then learn how to use binoculars and telescopes and have a go at some family activities.

This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Meet at 10am at Newtown Visitor Point next to the National Trust car park, PO30 4PA(SZ 443 906).

What to bring and wearWe will go out whatever the weather, so please wear suitable footwear and warm, waterproof clothing. Bring a hot drink and a snack if you wish, and binoculars if you have them.

Accessibility Please be aware that paths are flat but some can be wet, muddy and uneven. Although the Mercia Seabroke hide is wheelchair accessible, the path to the hide is slightly sloping and rough.Other
