Born in Bucharest, Romania, Florian Mitrea’s early passion for the piano led him to a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music. He has performed recitals and concertos across the globe. Florian remains an active chamber musician and his performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Romanian radio and tv.
Earl Mountbatten Hospice’s established series of concerts suit all musical tastes and feature the talents of professional musicians from the Isle of Wight and beyond. Each concert is held on the first Thursday of every month, between 7:30pm and 9:30pm, (with some additional concerts throughout the series), in the lounge area of the John Cheverton Centre. Tickets cost just £10, and include a glass of wine and a selection of delicious canapes.
All proceeds go to the Hospice
