Royal Isle of Wight County Show

IOW County Show 2017

This is the show where cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry come first. It’s a fantastic day out for all the family, combining entertainment and fun with the opportunity to enjoy many aspects of Island country life and farming.

The Main Ring is the focus of the Royal Isle of Wight County Show. The action lasts all day. The theme this year is again ‘Come and Have a Go’ and we put together a package of non-stop entertainment, competitions, activities to get involved with, and attractions taking place:

Small Animal Farm

Bring the family to our wonderful show farm where children can handle small farm animals such as lambs, piglets, calves and goats.

Field to Fork

Hear from local farmers about the journey of our food from farm to plate. Meet the growers and producers and taste local foods. You will be able to try your hand at traditional skills like butter making.

Meet the staff and students from Plumpton College and learn more about game-keeping & management, fishery & land-based and other courses available.
