West Standen Farm, Isle of Wight Sally and Edwin invite you to stay on their 350-acre working farm. Idyllically set into the side of St Georges Down enjoying rural views with an abundance of farm animals and wildlife. The Stable and Carriage house are both fully equipped to provide space and comfort in a central location less than a mile from the county town of Newport allowing easy access to all parts of the Island. We are ideally located within walking distance to Carisbrooke Castle, the Isle of Wight Festival at Seaclose Park and Eklectica at Robin Hill. Adults and Children alike can experience farm animals – there is always something that needs feeding. Due to this being a working farm, we regret, no pets, please. The Farm We run a heard of Aberdeen Angus cows, they calve February to May. The calves suckle their mothers and graze on the grassland right through to the autumn when they are weaned and brought in to be wintered in the barns.
