“Hey, what’s wrong with you?”
Two more 90’s acts have been confirmed as joining East 17, Republica, 911, Space and Noasis for this year’s Jack Up The Summer’s eagerly anticipated ‘90’s Day.’
Italian Eurodance band Livin’ Joy who were best known for their nineties hits ‘Dreamer’ and ‘Don’t Stop Movin’ will be joining festival favourites Phats & Small on stage on Sunday 11th August.
Livin’ Joy’s chart smash ‘Dreamer’ was released in 1995 and charted at number 1 in the US Dance Chart that year, as well as peaking at number 1 in the UK Singles Chart.
The house music group enjo
yed immense success in the 1990s and are back and better than ever in the modern era. Their live performances feature fierce frontwoman Luzahnn and capture audiences’ hearts, minds and imaginations. Luzahnn has carved out a successful career on stage and on the screen appearing in Chicago (both on Broadway and in the West End), The Lion King, 42nd Street, The Producers and Spamalot as well as the Hollywood blockbuster Alexander the Great. She has been smashing up clubs across the country with her devastating performances with Livin’ Joy.
Chart-topping dance outfit Phats & Small whose international hit ‘ Turn Around’ shot them to fame were the big surprise of the weekend at last year’s Jack Up festival. Organiser & Event Manager Sarah Moss said; “Phats & Small were a big curveball to throw into what was formally a predominantly 80’s line-up. Never could we have imagined what a rapturous reception there would be from the crowds to their 90’s megamix of dancefloor fillers and were totally blown away by the enormous amount of positive feedback subsequently received. In many ways, Phats & Small’s performance in 2018 paved the way for the introduction of a dedicated 90’s day at Jack Up. The whole event has evolved because of that one set, there was absolutely no way we couldn’t not invite the guys back!”
The multi-million selling, award-winning, Brit nominated duo featuring DJ Jason “Phats” Hayward also had hits with the likes of ‘Feels Good’ and ‘Tonite.’ Over the years, they have worked with some of the world’s biggest artists including Earth Wind & Fire, Arthur Baker, Jean Michelle Jarre, Simply Red and The Lighthouse Family.
