Shanklin is an extremely popular seaside town, packed full of interesting little shops and superb, highly reviewed restaurants and cafés, including the Fine Nammet, which was awarded gold status by Les Routiers.

Shanklin’s golden, sandy beach is stunning in the summer and winter alike, with the picturesque views remaining unchanged and unspoilt over the years, making this town ideal for a traditional bucket and spade holiday.

The esplanade has everything you would expect, such as seaside cafés, an amusement arcade, crazy golf, bowling, go-karting and even an indoor play area!

For the more adventurous there is always kayaking, bodyboarding, windsurfing, or sailing.

Walk the long way to the beach via Shanklin Old Village and Shanklin Chine, one of the island’s oldest attractions, passing quaint little shops along the way; this is a lovely way to start your day, by walking through the leafy gorge and winding unspoilt woodlands, where you can enjoy rare plants, wildlife and waterfalls.
