These well-presented apartments at Pilots Point are situated on the esplanade at Totland Bay, which is literally a stone’s throw from the beach yet close to all local amenities. Beachside Apartment, 1 Pilots Point (ref UKC3155) is a ground floor apartment and can accommodate up to eight people across three bedrooms, while Observation Point (ref UKC3325) is on the second floor and can accommodate up to six people across three bedrooms. Totland Bay is popular with people looking for peace and tranquillity, and very often welcomes yachts and cruisers, who drop anchor and row ashore for their lunch at the restaurant which can be found at the end of the esplanade. Large picture windows on the sun room side of this popular venue offer a great place to eat as you watch the sun sink below the horizon.

At high tide the beach is pebbly, but when the tide goes out, golden sands are exposed and the water is clear. If you should wish to take a stroll, walk along the coastal path towards Colwell Bay around the headland, or perhaps along Turf Walk which runs along the cliff tops. For surfers and kite surfing enthusiasts, there is Compton Bay a short drive away. One of the Isle of Wight’s best kept secrets, Compton offers a 2-mile stretch of contrasting dark and golden sands, with rolling seas and a stunning backdrop of multi-coloured sandstone cliffs. It is also a great place to go fossil hunting, you can actually book tours on the beach to see the dinosaur footprints in the sandstone ledge at Hanover Point that are exposed at low tide.

Whether you want to explore or just unwind, these sizeable apartments can offer you everything you need for your perfect holiday. There is so much to do for all ages on this beautiful sunny island. The Needles landmark attraction is just a short distance away to the west, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Make sure you visit Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, and the oldest themed attraction in the UK, Blackgang Chine, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the world renowned sailing town of Cowes.
