ISLE OF WIGHT DONKEY SANCTUARY – Registered Charity

PLEASE DO COME AND VISIT OUR DARLING DONKEYS & PONIES who can’t wait to meet you *WARNING* please expect ‘cuteness overload’ and lots of fun too – we all hope to see you very soon and thank you in advance for your kind and invaluable support.

The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary is based between Shanklin and Ventnor on the road to Wroxall and we are open all year round from 10:00am till 4:30pm, weather permitting. Everyone is welcome to come and visit our lovely donkeys including well behaved dogs. The charity relies entirely on donations, adoptions and the many fundraising activities held throughout the year.

Animal Welfare

The prime aim of the sanctuary is to provide a home for unwanted donkeys.

Usually there are more than 100 animals in our care – usually over 90 donkeys and 25 horses and ponies. These animals have led a variety of lives, but they all have one thing in common – they need a home.
