Totland Bay at Totland on the Island is lovely.  Looking out to the mainland, this beach has several eateries and parking.  It is popular with people looking for peace and tranquility, whilst the bay itself very often welcomes yachts and cruisers, who drop anchor and row ashore for their lunch.

At high tide the beach is pebbly, but when the tide goes out, golden sands are exposed and the water is clear and safe for bathing.

Within Totland bay there is a small pier which is being renovated and if you should wish to take a stroll, walk along the coastal path towards Colwell Bay around the headland, or perhaps along Turf Walk which runs along the cliff tops.
