The Ventnor Fringe is a unique celebration of the arts, showcasing emerging and established talent across every creative discipline. Each year it attracts more than 300 performers from across the world that together transform Ventnor into a wonderland of pop up bars and secret venues.
Originally created by a team of local teenagers in 2010 the festival has grown into a multi award winning event, based on the principles of the Edinburgh Fringe that inspired it but carving a distinct identity of its own.
Take the pilgrimage and enjoy a midnight ‘lock in‘ at the Library, ‘pop up’ cinemas, basement bars, pianos in the streets, gigs in locals’ houses, mystery tours, woodland sing-alongs and intimate church shows in and around the eclectic hillside town of Ventnor, on the southern tip of the beautiful Isle of Wight.
“… A wonderland of pop-up bars and secret venues housing an eclectic, boutique multi-arts festival. It’s one of the most innovative and vibrant new fringe festivals in the country…”
