This lovely three bedroom cottage is in a quiet location and enjoys sea views from the lounge, front bedroom & balcony. It is a two-minute walk down steps to the seawall at Wheelers Bay. A decked roof terrace provides superb views across Wheelers Bay and over the Downs behind Ventnor and is an ideal place to relax. For colder months there is a wood burning stove in the living room. The Victorian seaside town is one of the sunniest spots on the island. There is a beach and a small harbour, where locally caught fresh seafood can be purchased. The shops include a small supermarket, butchers, bakers & delicatessen. The town has a wide selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants serving good food, some of which have excellent live music. All of this is within five minutes walk of the cottage. A longer walk on the coastal path takes you to Steephill Cove and the Botanical Gardens. In the other direction, an easy stroll east along the seawall takes you to the pretty village of Bonchurch, where Charles Dickens wrote part of David Copperfield. What our guests say “Lunch on the terrace on a sunny day is a special delight with gorgeous views to look at. We’ll be back.” ‘Thanks for a cosy and comfortable stay.
