V-Dub Festival Isle of Wight V-dub island Festival offers a unique fusion between VW enthusiasts & music lovers alike The fancy dress theme is DISCO SAFARI. V-Dub Island is an affordable, family-friendly festival based on the Isle of Wight offering a unique fusion between V-Dub enthusiasts and music lovers alike. Heading into its sixth year, the festival will be held again at South Fairlee Farm in Newport, the home of the current Isle of Wight festival. V-Dub Island is once again bursting at the seams with outstanding live music, family fun and, of course, VW’s of all shapes, styles and sizes. Back by popular demand is our pop up campsite, electric hook up and showers with the Carry on Camping package By extending your holiday with up to 4 nights camping gives you a chance to explore more beautiful sites the Island has to offer. However if you’d love to come but can’t do all weekend, we have day tickets on offer too so you’ll still get a chance to join us even for the day. If you are coming from the mainland we have teamed up with Red Funnel and Wightlink to offer you discounted ferries to make it all the more affordable to visit the island in the summer holidays. With the V-Dubisland being in the heart of the Island now means you can easily explore whichever part of the Island you fancy, Ryde is just 20 minutes away with a golden beach and plenty of cafes and local shops to enjoy. Osbourne house in Cowes is also 20 minutes away, the former royal residence is wonderful with beautiful gardens and surroundings. Sandown; roughly half an hour from the site has another beautiful beach to offer with a pier jam-packed with family fun. The forever beautiful sites at the Needles are roughly 45 minutes away and is a popular tourist site because of its amazing views and chairlift taking you from the cliff top down to the beach. Take the VW for a ride, hire pushbikes, take the canoe or water taxi down the river or hop on one of the Island’s buses, there will be easy to access to all corners of the Island. Or if you fancy taking a stroll, Carisbrooke castle is walking distance where you can explore the castles great history and really go back in time. So if you’re staying the whole 8 days with Carry on Camping with us you’re spoilt for choice! When packing, grab that charity shop wedding dress and pull that scruffy top hat out of the attic because V-Dub Island is excited to announce the ‘Hillbilly Weddings’ themed fancy dress at this year’s festival! Bring your dapper wedding outfit to be part of the competition and fancy dress parade everyone’s invited to at 7pm on Saturday. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up having fun, yeeeeehahhhhh! Parents will be pleased to know that V-DubIsland aims to have plenty there for those of you with young families including a brand new GIANT Kidzcamps area promising lots of fun We have so much to keep your children entertained from dawn to dusk from fun workshops to The Beach area where mum’s and dads can kick back near the sand, watch the kids build sand castles and happy playing for hours hunting for the gold beneath the sand! Whilst being close to tasty food and cold refreshments! V-DubIsland is a VW show with live music and activities perfect for families, children and parents will find it easy to relax in the great atmosphere. Even the teenagers will be plenty entertained with the great new competitions and great music that’s easy for all ages to enjoy with a mixture of genres from dance to pop from rock to samba bands and Wight brass band will be joining us for a display!
