Osborne House Isle of Wight

Osborne House is located on the northern coast of the Isle of Wight looking out across the Solent. It was the home of Queen Victoria and her beloved Albert and their children played within the grounds at The Swiss Cottage and also in Osborne Bay.

“It is impossible to imagine a prettier place.” is what Queen Victoria said about her beloved Osborne House.  She used Osborne as a holiday home with Prince Albert and their children and when Albert died, The Queen hid herself away for most of her time at this beautiful and palatial property.

There is a beach at Osborne which has just been opened to the Public and touring around the inside of Osborne is a fascinating insight into our Countries greatest Monarch.

Within the well tended gardens is a golf course and The Swiss Cottage, which Victoria and Albert had built as a play house for their children.  In the warmer months there are concerts within the grounds and it is also possible to now get married there too.
