The Orchards Holiday Park on the Isle of Wight is a multi-award-winning, family-owned, holiday park with high-quality facilities and friendly helpful staff. Beautifully and luxuriously converted, this fort was constructed to protect the UK from invasion from the French on the instructions of the then Prime Minister Palmerston. By the time they were completed the threat was no more and they became known as “Palmerston’s Follies”. Located on a unique private island in The Solent, No Man’s Fort offers accommodation close to Portsmouth. Free WiFi is available on site, and transfer to the property is by private boat from Gunwharf Quays.
All rooms are spacious, en suite and have sea views out towards Portsmouth or the Isle of Wight. Each room comes complete with a TV and bathrobes.
