The Needles Isle of Wight Gallery

The Needles are a natural feature where the sea and elements erode the chalk leaving the tower white stacks which have become World Famous.  There are the Isle of Wight’s furthest point west and at the far end is a red and white lighthouse which warns sailors of the treacherous waters.

At the land side of The Needles is Alum Bay, which is noted for its’ coloured sands that are layered in glass ornaments as a memento of the Island.  There is also the Needles Landmark Attraction, which has so much to see and do.  Try the chairlift that takes you down into Alum Bay or walk out to The Needles Battery which is where The Black Night rocket tests were undertaken, the benefits of which can be seen today in both jet and space travel.
