Carisbrooke Castle

The Castle is best known as the place where King Charles I was imprisoned before his execution in 1649 but that is only a small part of this castles 800 years of history.

Today, it is one of the Isle of Wight’s best tourist attraction and plays host to Jousting Contests and mock battles.
