The West Wight of the Island offers some very dramatic scenery, from the towering cliffs that drop down from Tennyson down, to the views out across the Solent, Mainland and English Channel. The World famous chalk stacks of The Needles, the western most point of the Island can be found here too, along with the coloured sands and theme park at Alum Bay.
Towns in the west wight of the Isle of Wight include the yachting community of Yarmouth, which has a castle, quaint shopping centre and a pier that is great for fishing. Here, many boats travel across the Solent to stay a few nights and experience The Isle of Wight.
Totland is another small town that has a lovely beach, the bay attracting many cruisers and yachts that anchor up to enjoy the calm waters of Totland Bay.
Freshwater Bay has cliffs either side and whilst the beach is pebbly, it attracts people to its’ clear waters and stunning scenery.
